2. Personal data we collect
Depending on your interaction, we may collect:
- Identity and contact data, including name, billing and delivery addresses, email and telephone number.
- Order and transaction data, including products, sizes, quantities, payment status, refunds, returns and delivery information.
- Account and preference data, where you create an account or save choices.
- Customer-service content, including messages, complaints and photographs you send.
- Marketing preferences and interactions with communications.
- Technical and usage data, including IP address, device, browser, cookie identifiers, pages viewed, cart activity and security logs.
Complete card details are processed by Shopify and the selected payment provider and are not requested or stored directly by The Leisure Mode.
3. Sources of data
We receive data directly from you, automatically through the store and cookies, and from service providers involved in checkout, payment, fraud prevention, fulfillment, delivery, analytics, advertising or customer support.
4. Purposes and legal bases
We process data for the following purposes and legal bases:
- Contract: to accept payment, process and deliver orders, provide tracking, manage accounts and handle cancellations, returns, refunds and support.
- Legal obligation: to keep required tax and accounting records, comply with consumer and product-safety law, respond to lawful requests and protect legal rights.
- Legitimate interests: to secure and improve the store, prevent fraud, understand performance, manage customer relationships and establish or defend claims, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Consent: for optional direct marketing, non-essential cookies and similar activities where consent is required. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
5. How we share data
We disclose only what is reasonably necessary to:
- Shopify, which hosts the store and supports checkout, account, order and security functions.
- Payment processors and fraud-prevention providers.
- Fulfillment and logistics providers, including CJdropshipping and/or another provider used for the relevant order.
- Carriers and tracking services.
- Email, customer-support, hosting, security, analytics and advertising providers, where enabled and lawful.
- Professional advisers, insurers and authorities where required or reasonably necessary.
- A purchaser or successor in a genuine business reorganisation, subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell personal data for money. Some advertising or analytics activities may be legally treated as sharing in certain jurisdictions; where applicable, we provide the required consent or opt-out choice.
6. International transfers
Shopify, fulfillment providers and other service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where EU law requires a transfer safeguard, we rely on an adequacy decision, approved standard contractual clauses or another lawful mechanism, together with appropriate supplementary measures where needed.
7. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the relevant purpose. Order, payment and invoice records may be retained for the period required by tax, accounting and consumer law. Customer-support and dispute records are retained while needed to resolve the matter and protect legal rights. Marketing data is retained until consent is withdrawn, you object, or it is no longer useful. Security logs are retained for a proportionate period. Data is deleted, anonymised or securely restricted when it is no longer required.
8. Cookies
Essential cookies support security, cart and checkout functions. Preference, analytics and advertising cookies may also be used. We rely on consent before using non-essential cookies where required by law. Details and management options are in our Cookie Policy.
9. Your data-protection rights
Subject to applicable conditions and exceptions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing. You may withdraw consent at any time and may complain to the French data-protection authority, the CNIL, or the supervisory authority in your country.
Send requests to info@theleisuremode.com. We may ask for proportionate information to verify identity and normally respond within one month, subject to any lawful extension.
10. Marketing
You may unsubscribe from promotional email using the link in the message or by contacting us. We may still send non-promotional communications about orders, accounts, security or support.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect data. No internet system is completely secure. Do not send complete payment-card credentials or passwords by email.
12. Children
The store is not directed to children who cannot legally enter into a purchase. Contact us if you believe a child supplied personal data without appropriate authorisation.
13. Third-party sites
External websites and services have their own privacy practices. Review their notices before providing data. Our inclusion of a link does not make us responsible for an independent third party's processing.
14. Changes
We may update this policy when our practices, providers or legal obligations change. The updated version and revision date will be posted here, with additional notice where required.
